She got young horses used to saddle and bridle and prepared horses that came off the race track for sale by training them in dressage. Years later she began working for a dog training business in the Northern Virginia area.
Articles she has written have been published in Animal Trainer Magazine, Dalmatian Quarterly, Clean Run Dog Agility Magazine, Captain Haggerty's The Aggression Newsletter, Dog and Handler, and other publications.
Angelica is an AKC agility judge and competes with her dogs in AKC, NADAC, and USDAA. She is preparing two of her young dogs, a Jack Russell and a Border Collie, for competition obedience. Angelica has an interest in musical freestyle. She is an avid clicker trainer and loves the challenge and process of shaping a behavior.
She has presented in Vermont at the prestigious "Camp Gone to the Dogs."
And is an approved tester/observer for Therapy Dogs, Inc.
Angelica is the Clicker Topic owner at the huge dog behavior site Doggiedoor.com. At this site she replies to clicker training questions posted by people worldwide.
Angelica has written two books. "Agility Success Training and Competing With Your Dog in the Winning Zone" assists agility enthusiasts in preparing for competition. Angelica is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Dog Writers Association of America, Association of Behavior Analysis's Trainers Forum, and the Animal Behavior Society.
