Confidentiality
Coaches agree to keep content of coaching sessions confidential. Coaches can share confidential client information with staff and peers, for educational or peer coaching purposes.
Fees and Payment
Coaching sessions are 60 minutes in length unless other arrangements have been made. The fee for a 60 minute coaching session is $__. If a client being coached fails to make a payment, coaches can refuse further services.

Priority of Dog’s Interest over Client’s
If a conflict of interest arises your coach will put the welfare and safety and general well-being of the dog above any goals or desires of the client.
Goals, Techniques, Limitations, Risks, and Benefits of Consultation
The goals of coaching will be set by the client with the coaches’ guidance. All techniques recommended by coach will work to minimize or eliminate stress and maximize fun for both the dog and handler. Agility is a sport both the dog and handler risk injury as the result of engaging in a dog sport activity. Dog sports benefit most dogs mentally and physically. Most handlers report an increase in bond between their dog and themselves as a result of engaging in dog sport activities. Many behavioral problems can be decreased or eliminated as a result of dog sports.
Methods of Assessment and Coaching Plan Formation
Coaching is based on current scientific understanding of behavior modification. The coaching plan is formed based on client goals, operant and classical conditioning, the science of how animals learn, and the coach’s experience with the dog sport.
Client’s Rights
The client has the right to refuse any part of the coaching assessment including any handling they feel is inappropriate, it is recommended that client openly communicates with coach. Coach recommendations can at times be adjusted per client’s wishes. The client has the right to ask further questions and be clear on all relevant details before consenting to the coaching relationship.

Liability Release
Handler (owner of dog, client of XXXX., and handler of dog) agrees that XXX(individual) and XXXX (company or hosting entity). or any staff or independent contractors of XXXX, will not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from failure of the dog to respond to any cues or commands taught to the dog by XXXX or resulting from coaching, counseling and advice supplied to handlers (client) of dog. Dog’s behavior now and in the future is solely the responsibility of the handlers (client) of the dog. Should any behavior on the dog’s part now or in the future result in damage to the property, owners, or person of some third party, handler agrees to assume full responsibility to such third party for any and all such damage, and to absolve Angelica Steinker and Courteous Canine, Inc. and any staff or independent contractor of Courteous Canine, Inc. from any and all obligations to pay such damage to a third party. All dogs are trained or otherwise handled or cared for or if handler receives instruction by XXXX and XXXX or any staff or independent contractor of XXXX without any liability whatsoever on XXXX and XXXX or any staff or independent contractor of XXXX for loss, damage from disease, death, running away, theft, fire, injury to persons, other dogs or property by said dog, or other unavoidable causes. In the event of in-home training provided by XXXX and XXXX or any staff or independent contractors of XXXX whether handlers are home or not, handlers agree to absolve XXXX and XXXX and any staff or independent contractors from any and all liability whatsoever for loss or damage to property. In the event of training provided at the location of XXXX, at XXXX, handler agrees to absolve XXXX and XXXX and any staff or independent contractor of XXXX from any and all liability whatsoever for loss or damage to property, or injury to dog, or owner, or handler and to hold her/him harmless therefor.

In order to earn IDSCA titles, an IDSCA dog registration number is required for each dog desiring a title. Once dogs are registered, this registration lasts for the life of the dog. Dogs can be registered at any age. All information below is required in order to get a valid registration number.
